Brian Bent

Lesson Types: Hitting, Pitching, Catching, Infield

Brian works with players of all ages to strengthen and develop their mental and physical skills in the game of baseball. Brian attended Mount Saint Joseph High School in Baltimore City where he played 4 years of varsity baseball. He was named 1st team all metro in 2003 and played in the 2003 Crown All Star Game held at Oriole Park at Camden Yards. Brian played for Team Maryland in 2003, traveling to Oklahoma to play among the among the countries best prospects. He went on to play two years of college baseball at Delaware Tech and Catonsville Community College where he was twice named 2nd Team All Region. In 2005, Brian was drafted by the Baltimore Orioles.

Paul Winterling

Lesson Types: Hitting, Outfield, Infield

Paul Winterling played 5 years of Minor League Baseball in the Baltimore Orioles Organization. He spent most of 2008 with the Frederick Keys(A+) before being promoted to the Bowie Baysox (AA) as a reserve for the playoff roster. In 2007, Paul hit .320 for the Delmarva Shorebirds(A-). Later that year, he won the Carolina League Championship with the Keys(A+). Paul was also an assistant coach at JHU during its fall season. He saw two of his players go on to play professionally as well as Hopkins become National Runners-Up at the 2008 Div III College World Series. In addition to coaching collegiately, Paul has worked with thousands of area youth through camps, clinics, and private lessons. As an amateur player, Paul was a two-time pre-season All American at Johns Hopkins University and led Hopkins to its first #1 national ranking in 2004. He holds an NCAA record with grand slams in a game (2) and is 2nd in RBIs in a game (11). Professionally, Winterling played for the Bluefield Orioles, Aberdeen Ironbirds, Delmarva Shorebirds, and Frederick Keys.

Adam Kolarek

Lesson Types: Pitching

Adam is entering his fifth season as a pitcher in the New York Mets Organization. While at Catonsville High School in Baltimore County, Adam was named 1st team all metro as an outfielder in 2006 and as a pitcher in 2007. Adam played for Team Maryland in 2006 and 2007, traveling to Oklahoma to play among the countries best prospects. He attended and played three years of college baseball at the University of Maryland . Since being drafted in 2010, Adam has played for the Kingsport Mets, Brooklyn Cyclones, Savannah Sand Gnats, Binghamton Mets, and Las Vegas 51s. Last Season in AA, he posted an impressive 1.71 ERA, holding hitters to a .204 batting average. His efforts earned him a promotion to AAA.

Josh Vittek

Josh helps with our camps and programs

Josh played high school baseball at Liberty High school in Eldersburg, Md. Josh batted .387 his senior year leading the Lions to the 2A State Championship. Played four years at Mount St. Mary’s University following high school, where he broke 13 school records and batted .377 with twenty home runs his senior season. Also led the Mountaineers to the first ever school conference championship. Josh was signed as a free agent by the Kansas City Royals after college, where he won the Triple Crown for his team, the Burlington Royals, batting .297 with eight home runs and thirty four RBI’s.

Jeff Poff

Jeff helps with our camps and programs

Jeff graduated from Mount Saint Joseph High School in 2004 where he played baseball. He continued his education at CCBC where he played baseball and received his Associates of Arts degree in 2006 and continued his education and baseball career with the University of the Cumberlands in Kentucky. Since the age of 12, Jeff has travelled all around the country playing baseball. He enjoyed meeting teams and players from all around the world and has made many friendships. He played summer and fall ball for the Baltimore Oriolelanders managed by Dean Albany, Baltimore Oriole Scout. He participated in many baseball camps and played 2 years in Sarasota, FL. He was an outstanding outfielder with great speed and a leadoff batter with over 200 stolen bases in his high school and college career. He was pursued by several major league teams as a draft prospect. He played with professional players such as Steve Clevenger, Gavin Floyd, Brian Bent, Mark Texiera, and the late Nick Adenhart.
